Enough is Enough!

Just in case you haven't heard...we have endured record setting snowfalls in our area!

The totals:
                 Washington, D.C. 59 inches
                  Virginia 72 inches
                  Maryland 75 inches

The weather forcast next week: SNOW!!!

You know things are bad when you see this...

My sister sent this fantastic image to me.  Please enjoy it in the humorous way it is intended.  From a design perspective, I really appreciate the high level of detailed styling that went into this photo shoot!!!

  1. HILARIOUS! At least it's sunny out, and if you're out of the wind and in the sun, it's quite nice. Got 2 guys to dig out the car for $20 each. Side walk is pretty clear. I am pretty happy.

  2. Very funny!!!!!
WOW, we out here in New Mexico, have had a very snowy winter the only difference is that it is sunny all most every day here so it feels warmner here than the east in the winter...
When it melts you will have mud on every thing!!!!
We love when we get any moisture out west as snow fall means good water for the outside world and for the replenishing of the large bodies of water that supply our water for drinking and bathing.... So, just plan ahead and stay home a lot and enjoy the hibernation that most of us have forgotten!!!!

  4. Hey There - just responding to your comment on pure style. In my province an interior designer is responsible for obtaining construction permits and requires a stamp (like architects) to get this. We get the stamp by being a registered interior designer. We are also responsible for ALL interior construction, including new walls, interior windows, dropped ceilings etc. We are interior architects. It may be difference where you live?

  5. Hi MG,
Yes, you are correct. We don't have the same criteria here now...but this whole business is getting more challenging, so anything is possible in the future. For me personally I stick to what I know, but continually read and ask questions of those much more informed, in order to further educate myself.
I always appreciate good feedback, so thank you so much for taking the time to comment!

  6. Heavy snowfall right now in Dallas. I hope it does not come your way in a day or two. We are supposed to get up to 10 inches, unheard of in these parts! I feel for you my cousin is in Virginia. Love the snowman!

  7. You made my day with this post. I am so sick of being homebound with my 20 month old. I told my husband we WILL make it to her music class tomorrow Am if it is open. We paid some guys $60 to shovel our driveway and a tiny path to our front door---our shovel cracked yesterday...ugh. I swear if I gain a lb I won't be able to fit through the path...it is up to my waist. I am so done with winter!

  12. Believe it or not, it's freezing way down here in New Orleans, too. It's been sleeting all day and we were forced to cancel 3 parades tonight. Mardi Gras is very cold wet and soggy this year. :( But our hearts are still warm. ;)

  14. hahahah hysterical!!! oh my goodness!!

And also I really appreciate your & Mg's dialogue. I hope I didn't sound harsh, but I know that' it's a debate that can go on & on and really didn't want to have it be the focus of the post, so I really do appreciate you both being so great. And you very easily explained what my sleep-deprived brain couldn't at the time! :)

  24. I could have sworn I left you a message...but....we had 4 inches yesterday and it's melting now....ATL is certainly not used to this and the 'road crews' have to come out of no where!

Put your feet up, sit by the fire and drink champagne!
